DUGUAY'S DUGOUT

Once again, we at HOCKEENIGHT welcome the musings of former Blackhawks farmhand Pierre Duguay, holder of the Central Hockey League record for hooking penalties in a game, with 9. Take it away, Pierre!

Bonjour des lecteurs Longueuil de nuit d'hockee!

Pierre Duguay here, reporting from the Fleur De Lis Girls' Reformatory in Longueuil. Here I am preparing for the upcoming season of our Le Femmes Coupe Longueuil, as I spent yesterday spraying down the pads with Lysol to kill the mildew.

The new season for the NHL is also fast approaching, and the news is starting to come more quickly.

This game looks like a winner, and will allow people a chance to enjoy NHL action when there is no game on. I can't speak to how realistic it is, as it shows Crosby scoring a goal against Detroit.

There's also this game, which will be available on the Nintendo Wii - this should allow you to spear and crosscheck loved ones in the comfort of your own home. For Blackhawk fans, the trailer shows Patrick Sharp getting his horloge cleaned.

This Thursday, you can go here, and meet a member of Les Ailes Mortes, and get your picture taken with the cherished Tasse de Stanley. I remember seeing Les Canadiens win the Cup many times, and Jean Beliveau bringing the Cup across the river to Longueuil each summer. We played for the Adams Trophy in Dallas. I don't know if they would have let me bring the trophy home. However, we have Les Cup Longueuil, a local trophy, which Le Femmes Coupe Longueuil won last season, and it's in my office.

Ryan Kennedy at The Hockey News reports there is still hope for actual men to play the game the way Coupe Longueuil played so many years ago.

The Blue Line, which was so beloved years ago by Blackhawks fans will be reincarnated as The Committed Indian. The resurrection of the Blackhawks' franchise as a legitimate NHL team means bon temps for those who have the love of the game that we in Longueuil do.

So now my crullers are gone, and I must go as well. Until next time, au revoir des lecteurs longueuil de Nuit d'Hockee
