Meh: Hawks 0, Blues 1

At least it's over.  The Hawks 8 game road trip is finally over, ending with a 1-0 shutout loss in St. Louis.  The game was pretty mediocre overall.  Both sides hit the posts several times, and the only goal came on a 4 on 3 power play for the Blues.  Once again, James Wisniewski and Dustin Byfuglien were healthy scratches, which I guess is punishment since they were forced to watch this game in its entirety.

THE GOOD

The Road Trip of Doom is finally over.  The Hawks managed 10 of 16 points, and I'll take that any time.  Unless Chicago has a complete collapse, the 4th seed is pretty much locked up.

Cristobal Huet: Huet stopped 22 of 23 shots, despite the Blues getting a lot of traffic around the net, and several odd man breaks.

THE BAD

Power Play:  The Hawks went 0 for 5, and seemed stymied by the Blues strategy of putting 3 men up at the blue line to meet the rush.  DUMP THE PUCK IN, DAMMIT!

Keith and Seabrook:  These two were turning the puck over all night.  I'm not sure what the problem was, but they gave up several odd-man rushes.

Brian Campbell:  He looks like shit lately.  Absolute shit.  It's become pretty clear that if Campbell isn't creating on offense, he isn't much use to the team.  Well, he isn't creating anything right now, and I'd rather see Wiz on the ice than him.

THE UGLY

This evening sucked.   The only thing that I can think of to make it better is watching two douchebags beat the hell out of each other.  So here's Darcy Tucker and Jarko Ruutu punching each other in the face.  The winner is you, the fans.
