Desperate Measures: Hawks 4, Preds 2

I only caught the 3rd period of tonight's game, so my analysis isn't going to be great.  The Hawks held off the Predators, who through everything they could at Chicago in the 3rd as they desperately needed two points from this game.  The Hawks impressed me by keeping their cool during that time.  They withstood Nashville's best shots and came out on top.  Can't ask for much more than that.

Toews-Kane-Havlat:  This line generated the bulk of the offense tonight, accounting for 3 of the Hawks 4 goals.  Kane scored his 25th of the season when he roofed a nice backhander and he also setup Havlat's empty-netter by corralling a loose puck, drawing three Predators and dishing off to the bearded bohunk.

Dustin Byfuglien:  Buff scored a goal tonight, and if his play in the first two periods was anything like his performance in the 3rd, he played a hell of a game.  Buff could potentially be a breakout guy for the Hawks in the playoffs, and I think the intensity of these games is helping to bring out the best in the big guy.

I didn't see much bad out there in the twenty minutes I saw.  Some questionable reads in the defensive zone by my favorite player Matt Walker, but other than that it was all good.

Sorry Barry, but the playoffs look like a long shot now.

Anyway, since I didn't see much of the game, I leave it to our Hockeenight readers to fill me in on the details in the comments.  You lazy-asses haven't been pulling your weight around here.  You're like a bunch of Dustin Byfugliens.

I did not see the game. That's why I came here for the wrap-up. You didn't watch it either. You suck. But who gives a shit. As long as nobody gets injured I'm happy. Let me know when the playoffs start.

Khabibulin had another solid game CT. I believe it was the second goal of the night that bounced off of the back skate Matt Walker. Other than that, the Sex Predators had a couple good shots but the Bulin Wall held it down. He should get a game off or two before the playoffs next week.
