WHAT AN EXPERIENCE: Blackhawks 4, Flames 1

Remember that scene in "Bull Durham", after Nuke gets called up, and he calls Crash "Meat"? Well, the Calgary Flames can take their "playoff experience" and stick it up their ass. The Chicago Blackhawks have experience, and a playoff series win under their belt, after eliminating the Flames 4-1 in the Saddledome, which ended the series in 6 games.

THE GOOD:

Nikolai Khabibulin. In this series, we could have done a good/bad/ugly just on Khabi, but he was aces tonight. Calgary threw the kitchen sink at him, and he sent that shit right back, stopping 43 of 44 shots. The balls.

Dustin Byfuglien. He did some amazing skating and puck dragging in circling behind the Calgary net before finding Adam Burish running in on the right wing, and Burish roofed it. Nice high screen on Campbell's goal too. Big Buff has really elevated his game, and hopefully this is evidence of his maturing.

Kris VERSTEEG! He's very quietly racked up 7 points in the postseason so far. Maybe he doesn't win the Calder, but he's a valuable part of a damn good hockey team, and the presumptive Calder winner would trade places with VERSTEEG! in a heartbeat. Still, that goddamn acting for the refs. That's horseshit.

THE BAD:

Is there one for this game? The special teams were perfect, the goaletnding was perfect, and again, the goal scoring was dispersed. They let in a goal by Todd Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi can eat a bag of dicks.

THE UGLY:

Did you see the schnozz on that broad in the Luna commercial? I was hoping for another Mike D. sighting after that shit. Jesus.

What's next for the Hawks? Who knows. They're going to be the road team, and they've probably got a plane ready to go, either to San Jose or Vancouver. Either way, we've seen how far they've come. Now we need to see how far they can go.
