Friday Night Fights: The Bruise Brothers

I guess they'll give anybody a book deal these days.

Bob Probert and Joey Kocur were known for a lot things.  Fighting, playing hockey, fighting, getting drunk, fighting, playing for the Red Wings, fighting, doing mounds of coke, fighting and fighting.  One thing they were not known for during their careers was their literacy.  But, evidentally retirement has brought out the intellectual in Kocur and Probert, and the two of them have penned a book (with some help from Bob Duff) together.

The book is being put out by Immortal Investments Publishing, LLC and is titled: Bruise Brothers: Hockey's Heavyweight Champions.  Exciting news too!  If you order now, for just $39.95 (plus $6.75 shipping and handling!) you can get your own signed copy of the book!  Unfortunately, it doesn't say if the crayons are included or sold seperately.  I have to say, after looking around the website for Immortal Investments, I'm wondering if Lenny Dykstra is somehow involved in all this.

Anyway, I'm sure that the book will be a great read, especially if the creative process consisted soley of Kocur and Probert being locked in a room with Bob Duff and 3 kegs of beer:

Probert:  So I said, "KISS MY ASPHALT, LADY".  Write that down, Duff.

Kocur: Goddamnit Probie, I keep telling you, that never fucking happened, it was on The Simpons!

Probert:  Well, it seemed real enough to me.  Then again, I did spend an abnormal amount of time watching The Simpsons during the 1994-95 season.  For some reason, I can't remember anything hockey related from that year.

Kocur: Uh yeah, Bob, that year was a blur for you, I'm sure.  Anway, we gotta get down to business.

Probert:  What about Duff?  The guy hasn't contributed anything, I say we hang him out the window by his ankles.

Kocur:  Don't you remember?  We just did that 25 minutes ago.

Probert: We did?

Kocur: Yeah, and we dropped him.

Probert:  Shit.  Well, looks like it's back to jail for me!

Kocur:  Fucking Simpsons.

Here's Probie and Kocur doing what they do best, to each other.
