FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS: Kickin' It Old School

CT left me in charge of this week's fight. Surprising, considering the last one I did.

Anyway, this is one of my all-time favorites. This is from back in the 1981 playoffs, when the 1 seed played the 16 seed, 2 played 15, etc. So, you had a first-round matchup between the New York Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings.

So, there was all kinds of chippy play throughout this best-of-five, and at the end of the period, both teams came onto the ice to go to the locker rooms, and it turned into an awesome free-for-all.

Highlights: Ed Hospodar taking on the dimunitive Lady Byng winner Marcel Dionne, goalie fight, even the great Nick Fotiu getting into it in his street clothes. Oh, and someone yells into the broadcast mic.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy 7 minutes of pure awesomeness. The video quality isn't the best, but when there's this kind of action, who cares?
