THE THREE STAY IN THE FOLD: Toews, Kane and Keith Sign, Press Conference Tomorrow.

Chris Kuc is now reporting that tomorrow the Chicago Blackhawks are holding a press conference Thursday afternoon to announce the new contracts being signed by All-Stars Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith.

No further word has been released, such as how they are going about getting the tagging space needed, since by all accounts it wasn't there.

Also, the official terms haven't been released, but all speculation had Kane and Toews at around 5 years and $30 million each, and Keith at 13 years and between $70 and $75 million.

At any rate, Hawks fans can now breathe easily, since they will have Toews, Kane, Keith, Marian Hossa, Brian Campbell and Dave Bolland all signed for at least the rest of this season, and the next four.

Here's where I piss on the parade: At some point, they will need to address the impending RFA status of Niklas Hjalmmarsson. There are other RFAs as well, most notably Andrew Ladd, and UFAs, most notably John Madden.

But for the next couple days, enjoy the fact that the Chicago Blackhawks not only recognize their young talent, but also are willing to pay that talent to keep then in Chicago.

OK, so Rocky Wirtz has made it all good.

I hear the grinding of teeth at TSN as McKenzie and Dreger try to figure out how the Blackhawks pull this one off.

And ya know, if the Blackhawks can get the job done this year, there will be even more teeth grinding by these hockey hacks.

Long Live Hockee Night, and the Hawkey blogosphere.

PS hey Fork, ESPN is now running your Sharp for Kozlov trade at the *top* of their rumor list.
