MUTHUH'S DAY: Canucks 4, Blackhawks 1
Goddamnit, it wasn't supposed to go like this. The Chicago Blackhawks, who had been 3-0 in games where they can close out opponents over the last two postseasons, came out as flat as Paris Hilton, giving up a goal 59 seconds into the game, and never playing with any fire, losing to the Vancouver Canucks, 4-1 in the United Center.
Let's get this over with:
THE GOOD:
Jonathan Toews. He went 11-8 in the faceoff circle, and scored the Hawks' lone goal.
THE BAD:
Pretty much everything else. Weak goals, boneheaded penalties, the Power Play reverting to being absolute clown shoes, forgetting everything that had worked for the last 3 games. The pattern seems to be established at this point, the Hawks just drop a deuce on the ice, then just bitchslap the opposing team for 3 games. Know what? That will lead to a very happy summer for Hawks fans.
THE UGLY:
Canucks' Dman Sami Salo took a Duncan Keith shot right in the babymaker. He got taken to the hospital on a stretcher, where one can presume he's getting outfitted with a set of Neuticles . Shit, I winced just seeing it on TV. I've got a feeling his nuts were in his throat after that.
So now there's a Game 6 in Vancouver Tuesday night, and Kane, VERSTEEG! and Madden all get another limo ride in British Columbia. See you in the Shoutbox.

I really didn't feel good about this one...way before the game started.
Les Hawques did nothing to soothe my qualms.
And Tim Sassone should bear all the blame for this loss, as he insisted the Wings would have been a better matchup than the Sharks in the WCF.
The sound of Canadians jumping off the Nuckwagon will now be followed by the sound of Canadians jumping back on the Nuckwagon.
It's an ugly sound.
Feel lucky that you are Americans, and that Homeland Security has sound-proofed your borders.

...and the Nux really did play a very good game. Starting with BobbyLu, sans facial hair.

the one goal that the hawks got was from crashing the net on a rebound. the hawks looked like shit and now we are in deep shit if they were nervous tonight imagine how nervous they will be in game 6 and possibly 7 and bieksa has more points than keith. i am worried

"Deep shit" is down 3 games to 2, not up 3-2.
Step in off the ledge-the hubris has evaporated, this team will be one pissed off bunch of Blackhawks come Tuesday night.

thats true, i'm over reacting. the last thing i want to see is the hawks taking it easy and losing to a bunch of shit talking, whining hot shots that have been crying all year long about how they are better than the hawks i'm sick of hearing it and they even had some issues with burrows and a ref and also mclean with HNIC.

I don't feel good about this. Don't feel good at all.
Did anybody notice that Luongo saw the puck really well tonight...as the game went on, their seemed to be less rebounds given up.
Now, I understand, we didn't have the same traffic by the net...but the thought he has renewed confidence scares me a little.
This isn't good.

Luongo saw the puck really well because the Hawks stopped throwing bodies into the slot until late in the game.
He's coughing up at least a 5-spot tomorrow night.

Relax boys, two games left (if that) No way Van is going to win both!
I feel bad that our guys have to take a 4 hour flight back to the west coast.
But so what!
Think about it, how cool would it be to blow them away in front of the Vancouver faithful!
Let them wave their towels a night long.
Hell, let them toss them on the ice.
Just WIN, BABY WIN.

See You Next Tuesday is a lame band. Not quite as lame as the Blackhawks power play, though.

Let's hope that "Next Tuesdays" next "big hit"
is a best seller that runs up the NHLs' best seller list.

This loss is no sweat off my sack. They just won 3 games in a row. If you want to be worried about the Hawks not winning 4 straight against an upper echelon team, then I suggest you take the car battery cables off your nipples, sit back, and enjoy the Hawks thrash the Canucks on Tuesday.

Yeah!
How sweet it will be to "kill" them on there own ice!
