HAWKS AND SHARKS: By The Numbers

Math is hard. Neither CT nor I are any good at any of it - which is why we have our crack staff of HOCKEENIGHT Mathletes, pictured to the right here.

Now that there's a long layover, due to television and arena scheduling - to be fair, can you blame the people at HP Pavilion for not expecting the Sharks to make it this far? They've authored some pretty spectacular flameouts in years past, and they squeaked by Detroit with 4 one-goal victories.

Anyway, so we can break it all down for you, our Mathletes here have some interesting statistical data which can at least placate you until there's some actual hockey played this weekend:

    The numbers don't lie:

    1) Technically the Blackhawks didn't kill Johnsson. Unless the Schaivoed him.

    2) David Haugh channeled his inner Rozner in the Tribune this morning.

    3) I had so much to drink last night I feel a little like Dan Snyder after a ride with Dany Heatley (one down, 48 to go).

This is going to be a great series. Enjoy Hockeenight. See you in the Shoutbox.

If the Hawks' play is equal to the quality of this here blog crafted by Lord Fork , The Boyz2Men of Chicago should prevail in six.

Let's set the bar a little higher, Dave.

They better watch out for that Heatley kid. I hear he is a real crasher (2 down, 47 to go).
