PUCKCAST: HOCKEENIGHT Gets "Shorthanded" with SEALSHOCKEY.COM
OK, all our California Golden Seals references? You ain't heard nothing yet.Look, every Blackhawks site in the world spent all day beating the Niemi/Turco story to a bloody pulp today. Even people who know nothing about hockey have been beating it to death - not that I ever read David Haugh, but I can assume.
Anyway, tonight we were fortunate enough to have Brad Kurtzberg of sealshockey.com as our guest. He's written an actual book and everything.
Order it here . You won't be sorry.
Anyway, we talk about the Seals' history and how there are parallels to several NHL franchises today. We even talk about how intertwined the Hawks and Seals were back then, from Rudy Pilous being there at the team's birth, to players moving back and forth between teams.
Also plenty of stories from the Hawks' convention, including Dennis Hull's memory of playing in Oakland.
Lots of Hawks and Islanders talk as well. Nary a mention of Marty Turco.
Enjoy.

Let it be known that I began the talk of abovementioned California Golden Seals.
Is Crazy George in there?

During the spring, I am also the voice of the Final Four, so I had Harv fill in for me when I was gone.

Geez, how could we have forgotten Yelle?
That clip was his moment of glory more than anything he did on the ice.
