WAKE ME WHEN IT'S OVER: Blackhawks 3, Wild 1

The Chicago Blackhawks needed a bouncebak game following last night's debacle in the United Center.

Marty Turco in particular.

Both the Hawks and Turco stood tall tonight against the Minnesota Wild, winning 3-1 in XCel Energy Center, in a snoozefest of a game.

Let's get to it:

THE GOOD:

Duncan Keith. Remember that slow start he had last year? He won the Norris Trophy. He had a slow start this year as well. He now has 7 points in his last 3 games. QStache even managed to kep hin under 30 minutes.

Troy Brouwer. Easily his best game of the season. A goal, an assist, 3 hits, 3 blocked shots. Hopefully this means is game is also coming around.

Team Defense. The Wild was held to 19 shots on goal. This is how it looked last year.

THE BAD:

What a boring game. Even with a right result for Hawks fans, this one was dull as dishwater. How dull was it? In a game with Pisani and Potulny, Koivu and Kobasew, Clutterbuck and Cullimore, the game moved slowly enough to enable Pat Foley to get every player's name correct.

THE UGLY:

All these goddamn political ads. After Monday night's game against the Rangers, they al go blissfully silent. Guh.

I didn't consider this a dull game personally, but since I'm limited to watching weekend games any win is sweet.
