CRAWSOME: Blackhawks 4, Ducks 1
Tonight, we're taking a big risk. The lovely and talented LFork has agreed to recap the Black Friday tilt between the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks.
The risk? It's pretty certain that her recap will surpass the crap we've been able to pass off as analysis, and you guys will actually have some expectation of us to actually pay attention during games instead of engaging in musclebear-related Shoutbox activities or living the High Life.
So with no further ado, the Beautiful LFork:
The Hawks won their third game on the Circus trip this afternoon in Anaheim. After giving up a Power Play goal in the first, the Hawks played their game and extended the feeling of Thanksgiving for their fans. Let's get to it.
THE GOOD:
Corey Crawford. He stopped 26 of 27 shots, showing patience that made him look more like a veteran goalie than the youngster that he is.
Defense. Keith & Seabrook and Hjalmarsson & Campbell were paired up again and it showed. The Hawks defense certainly helped Crawford get this win.
Penalty kill. Aside from the Ducks' first-period PPG, the PK unit was flawless, even getting the Hawks' third shortie this season.
Patrick Sharp. In addition to being a very handsome man, Sharp's pass to Keith set up the short-handed goal and he got the Hawks go-ahead goal less than 3 minutes into the third.
THE BAD:
Penalties. It's a good thing the PK unit was so strong, but it should not be called on so often. The Hawks gave the Ducks 5 Power Plays and that's just too many.
THE UGLY:
Seabrook getting hit by a puck not in the knee for the second game in a row.
Up next - the Hawks face the Kings tomorrow night. After today's win, will Crawford get the start?

Best recap of the season. At least coming out of this house. I'm screwed.
If there was another "Good", it would be the continued solid play by Troy Brouwer. Hell, his goal-scoring shift in the third was enough for a "good" all by itself.

With Garnet Exelby poised to make the leap from Rockford, one can only imagine what's next for the Black Hawks.
Oh, and if Troy Brouwer plays the way he knows he can (and we know he can) he won't be traded for Brett Lebda or Adam Mair.
