Get The Point: Hawks 1, Sharks 2 (OT)

Two things you can always depend on at the Shark Tank: games will start late, and Brian Campbell will be booed by idiots.  I will say this was a fun game to watch.  While it was low scoring, both teams came out aggressive in the first period, and tried to set the tone physically.  There was lots of hitting, very few penalties (called) and very good up and down action.  In the end, the Hawks simply couldn't get that second goal and that limited them to 1 point on the night.

THE GOOD

Jordan Hendry - Hendry's seems to constantly be in Q's doghouse, but with the Hawks short of men, he dressed as a forward tonight.  Skating on the 4th line, Hendry played a physical game and even managed to score a goal.

Corey Crawford - Crawford got the start tonight, and played very well tonight.  It's one thing to win games when the team is piling up goals, but tonight Crawford earned the team a point when Antti Niemi was matching him save for save.

THE BAD

Officiating - This was all around terrible tonight.  Obvious penalties were missed, icing and offsides seemed to be an issue, and the Hawks had a goal waived off due to a quick whistle.  Greg Kimmerly and Mike Leggo my Eggo and the rest of their crew had an off night.

Niklas Hjlamarsson - Maybe it was just me, but it seems like everytime no. 4 came to my attention it was because was failing to hold the puck in, or getting turned around by a Shark on a rush.

THE UGLY

Bryan Bickell didn't have a bad game, but he still makes some questionable decisions, especially when he decides to get cute.  In particular, Bickell had a sequence in the 1st period where he stole the puck in the Sharks zone, made a couple of nice moves and then instead of either shooting, or dumping the puck low, he decided to make a no-look drop pass through his own legs to...nobody.

DID YOU KNOW? - Brian Campbell played 20 games for the San Jose Sharks in the 20...BOOOOOOOOO!

Up Next: A rare Sunday night Puckcast, followed by the Hawks taking on Colorado on Monday.

Well, really not too much to complain about, as this is technically a tie on the road against a dangerous team, and heck, without two BEEG STARS.

Los Tiburones sure have a lot of firepower with that there Heaterguy, Jumbo, Marley and Logan...and the dastardly Ryane Clowe (he whose name is constantly misspelled).

If anything, Troy Brouwer should steal some of Clowe's DNA.
