REVENGE: Hawks 5, Avs 2

So, another night, another game in the ongoing blood feud that is the Blackhawks/Avalanche rivalry.  Unfortunately, we did not get another Jeremy Roenick retrospective on the great Hawks/Avs playoff series that nobody remembers because the next series was that Conference Finals where Claude Lemieux murdered Kris Draper.

Anyway, the Hawks stomped the stupid Avalanche right in their own fucking faces.  Seriously, fuck those guys.

Patrick Kane - sweet Jebus, another 3 point night.  Kane had a goal and 2 assists, my favorite being a sweet pass to set Brent Seabrook up for the Hawks 4th goal.  The kid does what he wants, when he wants.  He's like a little Marian Hossa out there.

Jonathan Toews - The captain also had 3 points, including the Hawks 5th goal which put the game on ice with just under 4 minutes left.

Offensive Zone Pressure - With the Hawks taking the Dreaded 2 Goal Lead of Doom into the 3rd period, and Ray Emery looking shaky, I'm sure a lot of fans were sweating over this one.  So all the Hawks did was come out and spend the entire period on the Avalanche end of the ice.  Chicago outshot the Avs 10-4 in the 3rd and 32-19 overall.

The Power Play - I don't have much, but Chicago was 0-1 and surrendered a short handed goal.  So...bad.

Hossa - Hossa wasn't bad, but he got injured in the first period and didn't return.  As of press time, there was no word on which half of his body was actually injured.

Faceoffs - The Hawks sucked at faceoffs tonight.

It had to be somewhat ugly for die-hard Avs fans to hear their building absolutely dominated by a "LET'S GO HAWKS" chant at various times throughout the evening.  I'm sure that will all change when Patrick Roy becomes Player/Coach/GM.

Up Next:  a Thursday night clash of Western Conference titans, as the Blackhawks take on the Anaheim Ducks, who have 44 points.  Which is a lot.  I guess.

Oh, and I almost forgot about this:
