This weekend, the Vegas Golden Knights were a busy bunch of guys.
Not only did they drop this bomb-ass video featuring Golden Knights Legend Deryk Engelland…

but they dished out a few contracts.
The three first round picks of the 2017 NHL draft, center Cody Glass (No. 6), center Nick Suzuki (No. 13) and defenseman Erik Brannstrom (No. 15) each received a three-year, entry-level contract. None of them are expected to step onto an NHL sheet of ice during a game until next season, but it’s still a good idea to get them under contract so the Knights can take advantage of each of their slide years in Junior (or in Brannstrom’s case, Sweden) , so it really amounts to a four-year deal.
The Knights also tied up a couple loose ends on the restricted free agent front, locking down defenseman Griffin Reinhart for 2 years/$800K per year, and forward Brendan Leipsic for 2 years/$650 per. Both are destined to become Knights legends.
We’re still a few weeks out from training camps starting to open around the league, and the Knights are certain to deal out plenty of non-roster invitations. There are a few veterans out there still looking for work, and the Knights can take a couple chances on guys with the hopes of converting them into draft picks come deadline time.
And hey, Jagr’s still out there…
